My first job was working in a comic book store after school in St. Charles, Illinois.
I’ve had a lifelong passion for movies, visual effects, and technology, leading me to the West Coast where I received a BA in Film Studies from UC Santa Barbara in 2003. Shortly thereafter, I interned with the production department at Zoic Studios and was brought on board as a Visual Effects Coordinator for Joss Whedon’s feature debut Serenity.
With nearly a decade at Zoic, I was charged with spearheading their production facility and accumulated thousands of hours of on-set experience as Producer and Production Manager for Zoic’s film, television, and advertising clients. My work on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation was among those recognized as contributing to the company’s 2010 Emmy® Award for Outstanding Visual Effects for a Series.
As a comic book fan, I was ecstatic to be offered a contract with Marvel Studios in 2012 as Stereo VFX Coordinator. There I earned screen credits for both Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World gaining invaluable mentorship and experience in production, post-production, and vendor management from their team led by Victoria Alonso.
Over the past five years, I’ve been freelance producing. In Chicago I’ve worked with clients such as Leviathan Design, Clutch Studios, and local non-profit to produce cutting-edge experiential design, visual effects, installation, and advertising projects.
Recently, I was contracted by Netflix as a Visual Effects Coordinator for the Sense8 series finale film (and PGA nominated) Amor Vincit Omnia. Working directly with Lana Wachowski and her team on this project has been a highlight in my career.
